Summercrest, located off Metcalf Avenue and College Boulevard, is a cozy, hidden gem community of around 400 single-family homes. Conveniently located adjacent to a major crossroad, the neighborhood is close to many area shopping centers, highways, restaurants, and schools.
Homes in Summercrest have three to five bedrooms, two car garages, and range in size from 1,400 to 3,700 finished square feet. Most yards are fenced and the homes feature a fireplace and good, functional two story layouts, though there are a variety of other layouts available.
Neighborhood amenities include a park with a play area and lots of walking trails. Built from the early 1980s to the early 90s, prices range from the low $300,000s to the mid $400,000s.
Residents can enjoy some really unique views from this location, with the community being close to a few high-rise office buildings. Golf enthusiasts will love being within a few minutes’ drive of four prominent local golf courses, the Sykes/Lady Overland Park Golf Course, Nicklaus Golf Club at Lionsgate, St. Andrews Golf Club, and Brookridge Golf and Fitness.
South of the neighborhood down Metcalf Avenue is Corbin Park, a large and upscale shopping district that offers everything from premium retailers and boutiques to sports centers and home goods stores. To the east are Town Center Plaza, Camelot Court, Town Center Crossing, and Hawthorne Plaza, an enormous grouping of outdoor retail shopping centers and restaurants that provide an upscale shopping experience the whole family can enjoy.
